At the end of last term, our #TeamOcklynge football team proudly lifted The Ocklynge Cup as this year’s champions!🏆🤩⭐ After a brilliant afternoon of football, teamwork and community spirit, Ocklynge once again brought the trophy home, adding it to the many sporting achievements we’ve celebrated as a school over recent years. This year we celebrated the win across the school, with pupils and staff sharing their congratulations and taking great pride in seeing the trophy displayed amongst our growing collection of accolades. 🏆🤩⭐ We were delighted to welcome several local junior schools for a fantastic afternoon of competitive but friendly football. The event continues to be one of the highlights of our sporting calendar and showcases the strength of local sporting partnerships across Eastbourne.⚽🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃 A huge THANK YOU to our friends at #TeamRatton, whose Year 8 Sports Leaders once again supported the event by refereeing fixtures and helping ensure the afternoon ran smoothly. Their professionalism, enthusiasm and fairness were appreciated by all involved.⭐🤩⭐ 📢Mr Clay, #Coach and Year 6 Class Teacher, shared: “It’s always a privilege to host this event and welcome so many talented young players from across our local schools. Competitions like this are so important, not only for developing footballing skills, but for strengthening partnerships and ensuring sport remains inclusive, accessible and enjoyable for all young people across our community. A huge well done to every team who took part.” 📢A teacher from one of the visiting schools said: “Our pupils had an amazing afternoon. The organisation, sportsmanship and warm welcome from Ocklynge made the event a real highlight for us. The children left happy and excited for next year already!” 📢And from Mr Reilly, Headteacher: “The Ock Cup has become a much‑anticipated annual event in our school calendar. It is wonderful to see so many schools come together to celebrate competition, teamwork and community.
